Once it downloads again click on it and follow the install instructions. This should look something like ‘Windows 10 RStudio 1.4.XXX’. Download the most recent version of RStudio from here.This will be in the form of ‘Download R X.Y.Z for Windows’. Download the most recent version of R from here.Scroll down a bit and you will get to the following screen. These aren’t necessary for this course so you can ignore this. RStudio can be downloaded from /products/rstudio/download. Note: When you first open RStudio a window might pop-up about installing RTools or Command Line Utilities. Open RStudio to ensure that everything loads right.Once it downloads again click to load the drive and then drag the RStudio icon into your applications folder. Finally download the most recent version of RStudio from here.There should be a button that says “Download RStudio for Mac”.Now you should have the latest versions of R and RStudio on your computer. Then, quit the RStudio program, go to the RStudio website, and download and install the latest version. Once it has downloaded click on the file and follow the prompts to install it. If you want to update to the latest version of RStudio, hover over Help on the top menu bar of your Mac, and click Check for Updates.Note: If you have a newer Mac with Apple silicon installed you might need to install the version below this with arm64 in the filename (if you aren’t certain, ignore this and if you have trouble talk to me) Ive tried installing dplyr inside and outside of swirl, and gotten different errors for those methods.
